Gingerbread Love

Cookies I made. I carved each cookie painstakingly with a butter knife. Bathe in their glory.

Christmas Party

These pics are from the AL Christmas party. All of these people are amazing and generous and wonderful. Also inspiring. They have been so good and helpful to me since I moved here.

EVICTION NOTICE

We're being evicted! They're turning our beautiful house into a carpark. On a lighter note, I have a visitor from Brisbane this weekend, and a friend's birthday party on Sunday.

I'm sorry I'm such a shit blogger. I just don't really want to waffle on about drivelly woobles. It's boring.

Sydney Girl Ravaged By Mugger

Although not exactly ravaged by a mugger, I had my wallet and phone stolen yesterday out of my locker at work! Some nugget went into our back dock (which is supposed to always be locked) and went through my bag. Silly bugger left behind pricey gear (ie mp3 player, camera), preferring instead to remove a prehistoric Nokia, some cash and all my ID. I hope they enjoy my $40.

This photo was taken at Town Hall Station. There was a really beautiful sunset that night.

Graffiti

This is some graffiti near my house. I like it. It reminds me of Sigur Ròs. If you haven't yet heard of them you should listen to their music. Give them a try. Definitely.

Ho Hum

Okay this is another from the drive down.. taken the same morning. Very pretty. I couldn't sleep that night, so I got up at about 4am and just started driving.

Having Moved To Sydney

Having moved to Sydney, I decided to start one of these so if anyone feels like checking up on me they can see what I've been doing. However, after this opening post I may forget about it and never post again. Anyway as this is the first time I've moved to a new city, I've been taking photographs of whatever takes my fancy. So these images are my first impressions of a new city. Some of them are pretentiously artsy fartsy and so on, and some are just snapshots of strange or fun things. This first picture was taken early in the morning on the second day driving from Brisbane to Sydney. There was hardly anyone on the road and I felt like I was in a Bill Henson photograph (http://www.roslynoxley9.com.au/artists/18/Bill_Henson/profile/). This is an example of my pretentiousness. Will add more when I have time.
